What if your book club included the authors themselves?

The RGC Author Book Club brings readers and authors together for a year of shared reading and conversation…a chance to go beyond the books and get to know the writers behind them in a more personal way.

Throughout the year, we’ll read alongside our featured authors—not only discovering their work, but getting a glimpse at what they love to read.

Then we’ll come together live to talk about the books and the stories behind them… and see where the conversation leads.

Each author brings two books to the conversation.

For each gathering, we’ll read one book by our featured author—and one book they’ve personally chosen for us. It might be an old favorite, an inspiration, a recent discovery, or simply a book they’ve been wanting to read.

Then we’ll come together live with the author for a discussion about both books.

With their own book, we’ll go behind the story—talking about the characters, themes, inspirations, and the questions we’ve been thinking about as we read.

With the book they’ve chosen for us, the author becomes part of the book club. We’ll all come to the conversation having read the same book, ready to talk about what we loved, what surprised us, what we questioned, and everything in between.

Over the course of the year, that means eight books, four authors, and four conversations you won’t find anywhere else.
