November 2023 Spotlight: The RaRa Sisters Book Club

Our November 2023 Spotlight is celebrating 23 years as a book club!

The RaRa (Readers Anonymous) Sisters Book Club was created in 2000. The picture is from our Roaring 20s party that celebrated our 20 years together. It’s crazy to believe that we have been together for 23 years! We’ve had many adventures together and have read nearly 150 books. Together, we have supported one another through many of life’s events: some happy, some scary, and some tragic, but we’re always there for one another.

October 2023 Spotlight: Bookies With Class

Our October 2023 Spotlight is celebrating 20 years as a book club!

Our book club began 20 years ago with six women and has now grown to 12, ranging in age from 60 to 80+. (We took this photo a couple weeks ago to celebrate our 20 years together!) The Bookies have chosen to remain small in number, consisting of family and friends. We meet each month and take turns being the hostess, usually in our home, although during COVID, we continued to meet via Zoom.

August 2023 Spotlight: NDP Alumnae Book Club

Our August 2023 Spotlight is keeping tradition alive with decades of alumni!

All members attended Notre Dame Prep high school in Towson, MD, and we range as graduates from graduation years 1972-2018! We are continually growing. We now have 35 members!!! We meet at our Alma Mater!

September 2022 Spotlight: Book Club Girls Sparta

Our September 2022 Spotlight gets creative with monthly meetings and celebrations!

Book Club Girls Sparta will be celebrating our 4th anniversary this November. We meet on zoom every January, February, and March, and in person the rest of the year. Our anniversary month, November, is set aside for a big celebration with a holiday cookie exchange, and a wine raffle. This is our highlight and it’s a lot of fun for everyone.
