We’re excited to bring back the book group city tour blog posts! Our next stop is Indianapolis, where we explore bookstores, the public library, and more.

Did you know that this capital city earned its lovable nickname “Indy” not only because “Indianapolis” is a mouthful, but also because of all the independent bookstores present in the city?

Our October 2023 Spotlight is celebrating 20 years as a book club!

Bookies With Class is our October Spotlight Group

 

Our book club began 20 years ago with six women and has now grown to 12, ranging in age from 60 to 80+. (We took this photo a couple weeks ago to celebrate our 20 years together!) The Bookies have chosen to remain small in number, consisting of family and friends. We meet each month and take turns being the hostess, usually in our home, although during COVID, we continued to meet via Zoom.

All members attended Notre Dame Prep high school in Towson, MD, and we range as graduates from graduation years 1972-2018! We are continually growing. We now have 35 members!!! We meet at our Alma Mater!
