San Diego, California

We have a multigenerational book club that I started with my mom, and we read all types and genres of books. We have about 8 members and call our group the RBG: a nod to Ruth Bader Ginsberg, but which also stands for Reading Book Group.

Our favorite title from 2018 was An American Marriage by Tayari Jones.

The Thursday Night Bookies are a winner of the Reading Group Choices favorite books survey. The Thursday Night Bookies
Grove City, Ohio

We have a 20-year age range, which gives us different points of view. Our varied life experiences lead to deep and lively discussions. We read an eclectic choice of books, genres, and authors. We started meeting around 14 years ago at the Grove City, Ohio library. Our monthly book club meetings are now held in one another’s homes, with a dinner served beforehand. Over the years, we nine have come to know and enjoy one another and have become good friends. We go to author talks, movies, dinners, high teas, plays, exercise classes, and walks together. Three of us vacation together.

Some of our favorite books from your 2018 list include A Piece Of The World by Kristina Baker Kline (We attended her author talk when she was in Columbus), The Radium Girls by Kate Moore, The Nightingale by Kristen Hannah, and The Other Einstein by Marie Benedict.

Independent bookseller: Gramercy in Bexley, Ohio.
