Reading Group Choices heads south to New Orleans for the latest installment of our Book Group City Tour!

A mythic city known for its jazz, Cajun cuisine, French Quarter and life along the Mississippi, New Orleans is also steeped in literary history. From its annual Tennessee Williams festival to its independent bookshops, the Big Easy offers a sanctuary for readers.

As always, we looked for a variety of ways for readers to connect to book groups and enjoy bookish conversation. Several of the clubs are deeply connected to the city and region that inspires them.

July 2019 Spotlight: Reading Between the Wines

The members in our July Spotlight Group, six years strong, met as parents and stayed together as friends!

Here is a photo of our book club at an author visit event for the annual All of Rochester Reads selection. We are ten women who initially came together on the sporting fields, concerts and musicals, and parade routes as parents in the Gates Chili School District in Rochester, New York. Our love of reading and curiosity brought us together, and now friendship keeps us searching for new books and adventures to share.
